Actor Matthew Marsden says he received threats for speaking about H-1B visa scam by Indians in Texas: 'If Brits were committing...'

The actor says he is receiving threats after he spoke out against H-1B visa abuse by Indians in Texas.

British-American actor Matthew Marsden has claimed that he received threats on his life after he spoke out against the H-1B visa scam perpetrated by Indians in Texas. He also said that he was not targeting any skin color or nationality, and if the British were committing an H-1B visa scam, he would be equally angry.

This all stemmed from his X post on April 4 where he ranted about Indian kids swarming Home Depot and no one speaking English. “I just went to Home Depot and there was a kids matinee there. Every family there was Indian and no one spoke English. This H1B visa scam is ruining the state of Texas and something needs to be done about it,” the post read, which went viral. The post sparked criticism and was criticized as an example of bigotry, with social media users pointing out that Indian children speaking a different language are not considered an H-1B visa scam because these children certainly know English as well, and are multilingual.

One wrote: “Every Indian child learns at least two languages and speaks Hindi in the presence of family. I can guarantee they speak English too. Why did you leave that out? Because intolerance is very popular. I think.”“The beautiful subjective point of this kind of bigotry is that most of these Indians are multilingual and can speak English as well as any number of Indian languages. Whereas the monolingual Manga Madhyan probably only speaks American English.

So… who exactly is the most educated? wrote activist Indu Viswanathan. A third user wrote: “Outrage over black kids at Home Depot who don’t speak English is bigotry, not evidence of H-1B fraud.”

Some users defended his remark while many called it “engagement taste.” Matthew Marsden, a British-American known for Coronation Street’s Black Hawk Down, has become vocal on social media. He posted several videos on his YouTube channel about how immigration is destroying the UK. He moved to the United States in 2003 and has worked in Hollywood ever since. He has been residing in Texas for the past five years. He is a naturalized American citizen and holds dual British-American citizenship.
