Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as a member of the Rajya Sabha on April 10, after which the state’s ruling NDA will elect its leader to head the new government, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Sunday, adding that Kumar will be part of the consultation process.

“Nitish Kumar has been elected to the Rajya Sabha and April 10 has been fixed for his swearing-in. After that, the central leadership of the BJP and NDA will elect its leader. Nitish Kumar will also be part of the process,” Saraogi told reporters.
A Cabinet meeting is also scheduled for Wednesday. This may be the last meeting of the Nietzschean Cabinet.
There is still no clarity on Nitish Kumar’s successor. “The decision will be taken when the post becomes vacant. Once he resigns, the process of forming the new government will begin,” Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said.
