Bollywood actor Salman Khan found himself in the middle of a funny debate online after his designer shoes caught everyone’s attention. The actor, who has been making the most of his time off set, attending events and making public appearances, left the internet divided over his choice of footwear during his latest appearance.

A video circulating on social media shows Khan getting out of his car at the airport wearing a plaid shirt, stylish jeans and ripped shoes. The videos show cameras zooming in on visibly worn shoes, leading many to assume the actor was wearing a “phate joote” (torn shoe). While some slammed the star for the alleged glitch, others admitted they “couldn’t figure it out…!!

However, fans were quick to respond to the criticism, pointing out that the actor was in fact wearing luxury shoes. The shoes in question are Balenciaga’s distressed leather cowboy boots, known for their intentionally rugged and distressed aesthetic. The shoes are said to be selling for between Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 1.50 lakh, prompting fans to defend Khan’s fashion choice. He previously wore the pair in 2023 while promoting his film “Tiger 3.”

Meanwhile, Salman has some time before he returns to the sets of his next film. The Bollywood star is all set to begin work on his next untitled action drama which is helmed by producer Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The project, which also stars Nayanthara in the lead role, along with Anil Kapoor and Arvind Swamy, will go on floors on April 18 in Mumbai. According to the latest reports, the film currently referred to as ‘SVC63’ will be released at a studio in Mumbai where Salman is shooting an action scene. He is also awaiting the release of Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming war drama ‘Maatrubhumi’. The film was initially scheduled to be released on April 17.
