MPESB Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026: Applications are open for 2,317 positions as of April 6; Details here

Madhya Pradesh Staff Selection Board (MPESB) has announced the recruitment of Nursing Officer 2026 under the combined recruitment examination for Group 5 Nurses and Paramedics, opening up more than 2,300 vacancies across state-run healthcare institutions.

The online application process will begin on April 6, 2026, and remain open until April 20, 2026. Eligible candidates will be able to apply through the official MPESB portal. The recruitment campaign includes jobs for nursing officers and sister teachers, with the aim of promoting employment in government hospitals and medical colleges. The computer-based exam is scheduled to begin from May 15, 2026, and will be conducted in multiple shifts across designated centers in the state.

Breakdown of vacancy and key dates

The recruitment drive includes a total of 2,317 posts, including 2,099 vacancies for Nursing Officers and 218 vacancies for Sister Teachers. These appointments will be made across various state health care facilities within the state public health system.

As per the official schedule, the application window will open on April 6 and close on April 20, 2026. The exam is scheduled to begin from May 15, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the application process within the stipulated timeline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Eligibility criteria and application requirements

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Nursing or a basic post-Bachelor qualification in Nursing from a recognized institution. In addition, candidates may be required to hold a valid registration with the relevant State Board of Nursing, as specified in the detailed notification.The minimum age for applicants has been fixed between 18 and 40 years, with relaxation applicable to reserved category candidates as per the state government norms.

Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility requirements before submitting their applications, as verification will be conducted at later stages of the recruitment process.

Selection process and examination pattern

The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages, starting with the Computer-Based Test (CBT). The written exam will consist of 100 questions covering general competency and field-specific topics related to nursing and allied health professions.

Negative markings will be applied according to the specified scheme.Based on the performance in CBT, merit list will be prepared, followed by document verification of shortlisted candidates. Final selection will be subject to successful verification of academic credentials, eligibility criteria and other required documents.
