Bollywood superstar Salman Khan may be waiting for the release of his war drama ‘Maatrubhumi’, but it looks like the actor is ready to move on to his next big project.
Salman Khan will start shooting on April 18
Salman is reportedly all set to start work on his next film, as early as next weekend. According to the latest reports, Khan, who announced the untitled action drama backed by producer Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally last week, is now set to begin work on the project on April 18 in Mumbai, according to Variety India.The film currently titled ‘SVC63’ is said to go on floors next Saturday and the first shooting schedule is expected to begin at SRPF Ground in Goregaon. Salman is expected to start with a high-octane action sequence. The report adds that a large-scale set simulating a dense urban environment was created in the studios, long before filming. The production team has reportedly planned an extensive three-month shoot across Mumbai and multiple locations across the country, with principal photography targeted by August-September 2026.

While the official release date is yet to be confirmed, the makers are said to be eyeing a theatrical release on Eid 2027.Salman’s next film is expected to be a Hindi film featuring an ensemble cast led by Nayanthara. The actress made her Hindi debut in the popular Bollywood film Jawan, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. On the other hand, Salman made his debut in Telugu cinema with his appearance in the 2022 political action thriller ‘The Godfather’, starring alongside Chiranjeevi.

Notably, the film will enter the production stage, much before the release of the upcoming war drama ‘Maatrubhumi’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film, which was initially scheduled to release on April 17, is rumored to be eyeing a later release date.
