Jack Black has officially joined Saturday Night Live’s exclusive “quintet club,” marking his fifth time hosting the popular comedy show. The special saw the five castmates welcoming Jonah Hill, Tina Fey, Candice Bergen and Melissa McCarthy to a comic, cobweb-filled party.
Over the years, Jack Black has appeared on a lot of reality TV shows; However, his recent appearance on Saturday Night Live is nothing short of iconic. Recently, “Super Mario Galaxy Movie” was chosen to host the show again, setting a record in history.
During the latest episode, the SNL cast held a special segment to welcome Black to the Five-Timers Club.
Jack Black joins the ‘Five Timers Club’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’
Upon his appearance on the final episode of SNL, Jack Black was honored as one of the latest entrants to the show’s “Five Hour Club,” reserved for celebrity guests who have appeared on the hit reality show multiple times. As for this segment, other celebrities who have hosted the show multiple times present the new joiner with a jacket. One by one, other celebrities appeared on the screen who also hosted the show more than 5 times, starting with Jonah Hill. When Jack brought Black into the club area filled with cobwebs and dust, Tina Fey appeared out of nowhere and commented about how the “Five Timers Club” idea had been implemented on Earth and had seen “better days.”Later, Candice Bergen, Melissa McCarthy and Jack White also joined in to welcome the “Anaconda” actor to the club. Jack White and Jack Black performed a musical monologue to end the segment.The famous actor previously hosted SNL in 2002, 2003 and 2005. His fourth time came in 2025, nearly 20 years after his last appearance. He hosted the show in connection with the promotion of his movie ‘Minecraft’. His 2026 appearance marked his fifth time hosting the show. Before Black, Only Murders In The Building star Martin Short was the latest celebrity to join the five-timer club. Other celebrities who were not in attendance for the segment but were also inducted into the club include Kristen Wiig, Emma Stone, and Woody Harrelson to name a few.
