It’s no secret that things have been tough for Britney Spears.
Fortunately, they are improving. And her two favorite men on the planet are part of that.
Britney has been spending more time with her sons, including Sean Preston, who has been a little slower to reconnect than his younger brother.
Not only is he taking selfies with his mother these days, but he has also ditched his father’s name in favor of hers.
Sean Preston made a nice symbolic gesture
You may have noticed recently that Britney is hanging out with two tall, handsome guys.
Just to be clear, these are her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Sean Preston is the oldest by almost one year.
During a recent break, Britney showed off both of her handsome boys to the world. It was clear that she was overjoyed with joy.
One of her sons decided to celebrate this occasion with a symbolic gesture.
Previously, Sean Preston’s Instagram account was simply “Sean Preston”.
His first and middle name, coupled with his famous mother, meant he needed no further introduction.
but, TMZ Reports indicate that he recently updated his title to “Sean P Spears.”
With no reports of a falling out with his father, Kevin Federline, it seems the 20-year-old did it to make his mother smile.
At the moment, there are no indications that Jayden James has done – or is expected to do – anything similar. Every brother can make his own sweet gesture towards his mother, you know?
Broken family bonds heal
In recent years, Britney and 19-year-old Jayden have been spending more time with each other.
Shawn was welcomed to their hangout last December, but reportedly declined.
(No judgment on that. He’s a young adult, making decisions at that stage in life So various. No shade, but he’ll probably have completely different priorities when he’s 25.)
Both sons had tensions with their mother, due to perceptions of favoritism while growing up and due to what the press portrayed as “erratic” behavior in Britney’s Instagram posts.
But in their rare public statements, they have always emphasized that they love her and want to have a relationship with her. And it happens!
Jayden appeared in a lot of photos with Britney, especially after he turned eighteen.
(When the boys were still minors, Britney agreed to let them move to Hawaii with their father.)
Yes, it’s not worth noting that he’s having a good time showing off his famous mom.
But that doesn’t make it any less sweet.
Both young men have been supporting their mother after her unfortunate DUI last winter. Good for them!
This is prime bonding time for them
Sean Preston and Jayden James are the children of divorce. This is tough — though not as tough as being the children of two adults stuck in a toxic, loveless marriage.
It is quite normal for children who grow up in this way to feel estranged from at least one parent. (This also occurs in other contexts, such as a child who feels estranged from both parents even if only one of them is abusive, or children who feel estranged from one surviving parent after the other has died, etc.).
Early adulthood can be an opportunity to bond as adults — e.g friends And so is the family.
This vital time together can help heal old wounds and forge new connections over shared interests.
Not every parent gets or deserves this opportunity. But it seems like Shawn and Jayden are happy to have their mother in their lives.
