Rajpal Yadav clarifies that he has never been jobless in the industry amid Rs 9 crore debt issue: 'Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar can't do without me'

Rajpal Yadav was recently granted bail after he surrendered in Tihar jail earlier in February in connection with a Rs 9 crore debt case dating back to 2012. Just before handing himself in, the actor told the media that he did not have the means to repay the amount, sparking talks about the financial difficulties faced by character actors in the film industry.

This situation led to many members of the industry coming forward to support him, and they even started efforts to offer him work and sign him on new projects. However, after being released on bail, Rajpal dismissed the perception that he was struggling at the professional level. He reiterated his stance during a conversation with Farah Khan on her YouTube vlog, and stressed that he has been working consistently throughout his career that has spanned nearly three decades.Reacting to his extensive filmography, Farah said, “I think you have done at least 100 films with Priyadarshan sir alone.” “I have already done at least 50 films each,” replied Rajpal, known for films like Bhagam Bhag, Malamaal Weekly and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, with a laugh.

Farah then joked, “Even Salman.” [Khan] I can’t do without you.” Rajpal agreed, and replied, “Yes, Salman bhai and Akshay bhai both can’t do it. I have also done at least four films

“.Farrah continued the fun conversation, joking with him about not appearing in her films: “Yes, but you haven’t worked in any of my films.” Rajpal answered frankly, “Honestly, you never gave me a chance. Please tell me, who on earth wouldn’t want to be a part of Main Hoon Na?”When Farah asked what role she could offer him in this film, Rajpal sidestepped the question and added, “Who hasn’t been desperate to be in Om Shanti Om?” Farah laughed in agreement, saying: “Yes, 100% true.”
