Seema Haider, the Pakistani-born woman who moved to India in 2023, recently held a naming ceremony for her newborn son at her home in Rabupura, Noida. Seema, who welcomed her sixth child in February this year, chose the name ‘Bharat’ for her baby girl with husband Sachin Meena.

Speaking at the ceremony, she said she finds Hindu traditions “beautiful” and expressed her pride in following the religion, adding that such small rituals and festivals bring joy and strengthen bonds within families, Life Hindustan reported.

Explaining the choice of name, Seema said that the priest suggested a name starting with the letter ‘Bh’, and the couple felt that ‘Bharat’ was the most important and appropriate choice.

She also spoke about her life in India, saying that she enjoys supporting the country, especially during cricket matches, and celebrating victories with her family. Seema added that she feels accepted and respected in her community and has no desire to return to Pakistan, the report indicated.

Seema has four children from her previous marriage and gave birth to two more after meeting Sachin. She entered India via Nepal in 2023 with her children.

They reportedly met while playing PUBG online and later got married at a temple in Kathmandu. Seema has repeatedly said that India is now her home and she would like to continue living here.
