Raghav and Parineeti spoke about how their love story began while appearing on Aap Ki Adalat with Rajat Sharma. Recalling their first meeting, Parineeti said she met Raghav in London at an award function. “I went there to receive an award for outstanding achievement in entertainment, and he (Raghav) came to receive an award in politics and governance,” she said.
The actress admitted that she was not aware of Raghav at that time, even though her brothers were big fans.
“My brother Shivanj told me to meet him. I told the organizers that I wanted to meet Raghav… I went to him. I said, ‘Hi, I’m Parineeti, my brothers really like you,'” she revealed. “How nice,” he replied. Parineeti then added that Raghav asked to meet her the next day – an unexpected gesture that took her completely by surprise.

Recalling that moment with laughter, Parineeti said that their first meeting was nothing but a romantic date. “I agreed. The next morning, I went with three of my managers. He also came with the organizers… It wasn’t an appointment. An entire platoon was there,” she said. Even with so many people around, the two were able to connect instantly, chatting about everything from meditation to diving. The real “cinematic moment,” as Parineeti described it, unfolded while eating.
“Suddenly, he said he was hungry, stood up and brought a plate full of food,” Parineeti said. “I thought people usually stay reserved when they first meet…I thought, ‘Yar, this is the guy for me.’ She added, smiling, “He brought his plate of food and started eating. I was just watching him. A bell rang in my mind. I told myself I will marry this man.”

As soon as their conversation ended, Parineeti ran straight to her room, curiosity getting the better of her.
“I didn’t know anything about him,” she admitted. “I rushed upstairs to my room and started searching on Google – Who is Raghav Chadha? Is Raghav Chadha married? I also asked the ‘main’ question – How old is Raghav Chadha?” After finding all the answers she was looking for, Parineeti couldn’t help but laugh at her realization. “Then I said to myself (in Punjabi) ‘Piya toh mein inali karangi’ (I will only marry this man),” she joked.

Raghav Chadha also spoke about his side of the story in Aap Ki Adalat. He recalls how, when Parineeti agreed to meet him, he decided to “hit muki pe choka (seize the opportunity).” Their meetings continued after Parineeti returned to India to shoot a film in Punjab, where Raghav was posted. “We met a lot and the series gradually continued,” he said. The couple had to be very discreet about their growing bond.
Raghav shared that they often sneak away from their security to meet quietly at Gurudwaras. “We met at 8.30 at night,” Raghav recalls. “She completed the shooting, asked her security staff to go, and came alone in the car.” The two then spend time together at a friend’s house in the village, talking peacefully away from the public eye.
