The first week of March was a big week for streaming shows set in 19th-century England.
Prime Video Young Sherlock It got off to a strong start in its premiere week, recording 678 million minutes of viewing time in Nielsen’s streaming ratings from March 2-8. The series, which follows Sherlock Holmes (hero Fiennes Tiffin) as a college student and budding detective, was the series’ debut of the week.
Bridgertonmeanwhile, spent its second week as the No. 1 title overall, reaching 1.99 billion minutes viewed. It was one of three series with over a billion viewing minutes, along with… Night agent (1.12 billion) and the house (1.11 billion), neither of which were identified in 19th-century England.
Two other shows also debuted in the top 10 original series: Netflix’s Steven Spielberg-produced nature series; Dinosaurs It attracted 612 million viewing minutes, and Apple TV Monarch: Legacy of Monsters It earned 467 million per week in its second season.
Holo heaven It accumulated 694 million minutes of viewing time for the week — down from the series’ high of 950 million minutes the week before but still well above all but the final week of its first season last year.
Action movie produced by Netflix War machineThe film, starring Alan Ritchson, also had a big opening week, topping the charts with 1.1 billion minutes viewed. All four Jurassic World Movies also topped the rankings, led by 2025’s Rebirth with 741 million minutes.
