An 11-month-old boy died after he accidentally drowned in a bucket of water at his home in Bengaluru on Wednesday, leading to his mother committing suicide, police said.

The incident occurred in Byraveshwaranagar in West Bengaluru. The mother had reportedly gone out to the balcony in the evening to collect dried clothes at that time.

The mother blames herself in the note
The mother was reportedly shocked after discovering what had happened. Police said they blamed themselves for the accident.
In a note recovered from the home, she wrote that she felt responsible for her son’s death and could not live with the guilt.

Police said she initially tried to commit suicide by taking pills, which injured her wrist. When that failed, she later hanged herself.
The incident was reportedly revealed when her husband returned from work.

In a separate case, a young tech couple from Telangana, Hyderabad, died by suicide at their home in Bengaluru, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred in a residential building. The woman, 31, returned home at about 9:45 p.m., but found the apartment locked from the inside. Despite repeated attempts, her husband did not respond, HT reported earlier.
She then asked neighbors and security staff in the building for help. When they managed to reach the apartment, her 32-year-old husband was found dead inside.
Within minutes of witnessing the scene, the woman allegedly rushed out and jumped from the 17th floor of the apartment building, resulting in her instant death, police said.
