Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory ahead of Hanuman Jayanti celebrations in the city, stating that traffic may be affected near Marghat Wale Hanuman Mandir on Ring Road.

Traffic diversions will be in place throughout Thursday, April 2.
Key areas include Rail Chhatta Chowk, Subhash Cut, GPO Chowk, Kela Ghat and Iron Bridge. The warnings urged commuters to plan routes in advance, especially those heading towards ISBT and Old Delhi Railway Station.
As per the advisory, multiple processions and events will be held in and around Marghat Wale Hanuman Mandir on the occasion of Lord Shri Hanuman Janmotsav.
Traffic diversions
Due to the celebrations, traffic will remain affected on several major roads, including Ring Road (Shanti Van to ISBT Kashmir Gate), Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg (Hanuman Mandir to Bol Mithai), Lothian Road (Chatta Rail Chowk to Kashmir Gate Metro) and Netaji Subhash Marg (Chatta Rail Chowk to Delhi Gate).

Moreover, Nishad Raj Marg (Shanti Van to Subhash Cut) and Boulevard Road (ISBT to Parakhana Chowk) will also be affected.
To maintain the flow of vehicular movement, traffic diversions will be imposed on Chatta Chowk, Subhash Chowk, GBO Chowk, Kila Ghat, Iron Bridge and Boulevard Road leading to Lothian T-point Road.

Advice for passengers
Traffic police urged commuters to avoid unnecessary travel through the affected area and plan their trips in advance. Passengers heading to Old Delhi Railway Station and ISBT have been advised to plan their travel accordingly.
It also advised passengers to use public transport, including Delhi Metro and buses, and follow the instructions of traffic police personnel.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has also made elaborate security and traffic arrangements in northwest Delhi ahead of Hanuman Jayanti. Special attention is being paid to sensitive areas such as Jahangirpuri, PTI reported, citing officials.
According to a police statement, a multi-layered security plan has been implemented to ensure a peaceful and orderly conduct of celebrations, especially in Jahangirpuri, which has witnessed tensions during similar events in the past.
