Lili Reinhart says a director told her to “suck in your stomach a little bit” during filming

Lili Reinhart says a director once asked her to “suck in her belly a little bit” while on set.

In an interview with Universality Next to her Forbidden fruits Co-stars, the actress was asked to recall an ‘acting memoir’ that she ‘took personally’.

“When a male director came up to me and silently leaned over and said, ‘Just suck in your stomach a little,’ it made my co-stars gasp,” Reinhart said.

“Oh my God, what’s his name?” Victoria Pedretti said, and Reinhart said she would tell them later.

Although Alexandra Shipp encouraged Reinhart to “say his name,” Reinhart remained silent. She also did not reveal what project she was filming when the comment was made.

Reinhart has been publicly candid about her struggles with body dysmorphia and an eating disorder. In a social media post in 2022, Reinhart spoke candidly about how “challenging” it was to “look at your body with love instead of criticism,” something she was “still learning” at the time. Last December, the actress shared her endometriosis diagnosis.
