A 54-year-old woman, working in a private company in Gurugram, was robbed of her valuables by an auto rickshaw driver in which she was traveling alone in the early hours of Tuesday, police said.

They added that after looting it, the driver also pushed the woman out of the vehicle and sped away.
Following the accident, an FIR was registered at the Sector 18 police station and the driver was arrested within hours of the accident.
The stolen items were also found, and the microbus used in the crime was seized.
According to the complaint filed by the woman, a native of Himachal Pradesh, at around 2:30 am on Tuesday, she took an auto rickshaw from IFFCO Chowk to her home in Sector 38, Gurugram.
On the way, the car driver stopped his car in a secluded place, gagged the woman, snatched her jewelry, watch, bracelet, and other belongings, and fled after pushing her out of the tuk-tuk.
The police registered an FIR after receiving a complaint about the crime and arrested the auto-rickshaw driver from the Sector 30 area within hours of the incident.
The accused Tazir (37 years old) was born in Malda district in West Bengal.
During interrogation, Tazir revealed that he saw the woman alone, committing the crime, police said, said Inspector Sajjan Singh, SHO, Sector 18 of the police station.
