Supergirl trailer: Millie Alcock’s Kara crosses paths with Jason Momoa’s Lobo while trying to save Krypto the Superdog

Kara Zor-El, played by Millie Alcock, is on a mission to rescue her super-powered pup, Krypto.

On Tuesday, DC Studios released a new trailer for the film supergirl, The upcoming film stars Alcock in the lead role after appearing last year Superman.

“I’ve been touching base to see when you think you might come back. You know, I’m just worried that you won’t find your stride here if you keep going off-world all the time, Kara. I’m worried that you won’t find your people,” David Corenswet’s Clark Kent/Superman tells Kara to open the trailer. “Yes, well, that’s the thing, Clark. I don’t have people,” she replies.

“Home is wherever you are, my friend,” she adds, speaking to her pet dog, Krypto.

However, Kiroto is then poisoned by the villain Cream of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts), and Kara is told that her super-dog only has three days to live. “You can’t abandon me,” she says. Kara now struggles to save her comrade.

The trailer also features another look at Jason Momoa’s anti-hero, Lobo. The two seem to be teaming up for action-packed sequences.

Here’s the official tagline: “When an unexpected and cruel adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.”
