BLACKPINK star Lisa announces the song Viva La Lisa; He became the first K-Pop artist based in Las Vegas

Lisa from K-pop girl group BLACKPINK is set to perform her first Las Vegas residency, “Viva La Lisa.”

Lisa gets a residency in Las Vegas

The show will be held at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for two weeks on November 13 and 14, and November 27 and 28.

The announcement makes Lisa the first K-Pop artist to hold a residency in Las Vegas.

The residency follows the release of Lisa’s debut solo album “Alter Ego” last year, as well as last year’s Blackpink tour and new EP “Deadline” released last month.

Lisa to appear in A documentary about Blackpink

According to Variety, Lisa, who starred in the hit HBO series The White Lotus, is also the subject of a documentary announced last year. According to the trailer, the film follows one year in the singer-actress’s life, during which she and the other BLACKPINK members focused on their individual projects.The documentary is directed by filmmaker Soo Kim, who directed the A24 award-winning documentary The Last of the Sea Women.

Lisa is a Thai rapper, singer and dancer. She is the first non-Korean artist to debut under YG Entertainment. She has trained for about five years after passing YG’s audition in Thailand in 2010. Within Blackpink, she holds the positions of main dancer, main rapper, and sub-vocalist. The band debuted on August 8, 2016 with a single album titled Square One.

Lisa’s solo music debut

Lisa made her solo debut on September 10, 2021 with the solo album “Lalisa”. The title track and B-side “Money” achieved success on international charts, and “Money” became the first song by a K-pop solo artist to reach the top ten on the Billboard Global 200 chart. It also set multiple YouTube records for music video views within 24 hours.
