Celine Dion announces COMEBACK concerts after diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome. Reveals the dates of residence in Paris

Celine Dion will return to the stage this fall with her first concert series since revealing her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome, announcing a limited five-week engagement in Paris.The Grammy-winning star said Monday she will perform 10 shows at Paris La Defense Arena from Sept. 12 to Oct. 14, marking a major milestone after years away from touring due to a rare neurological disorder that she revealed in 2022.

In an emotional video message delivered from under the Eiffel Tower on her 58th birthday, Dion thanked fans for their support during her health challenges, and said she felt “strong” and “excited” to return to the stage.

“Over the past few years, every day that passes, I have felt your prayers and support,” she said. “This year, I had the opportunity to see you, to perform for you again in Paris.”

“I want to let you know that I am doing well, managing my health, and feeling great,” she said in her post on Monday.Dionne first revealed in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, an incurable autoimmune disorder.

The Quebec-born star was forced to cancel the remainder of her shows indefinitely.Treatment can help relieve symptoms of the condition that can cause muscle stiffness in the trunk, arms, and legs.The 2024 documentary “Me: Celine Dion” provided an intimate look at the charismatic artist’s career and the severity of her pain from the condition, including having an epileptic seizure.Despite the diagnosis, Dion vowed she would fight her way back to the stage.“I’m not dead,” the singer told AFP in 2024 on the red carpet before the premiere of the documentary.

Titled “Celine Dion Paris 2026,” the shows will showcase her catalog of hit songs in English and French. The production is being developed with creative director Willow Perron.Dion has largely retreated from performing since canceling her Courageous World Tour as her condition progresses. She made a brief return but was widely seen at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she performed atop the Eiffel Tower. With approximately 260 million albums sold worldwide, Dion remains one of the best-selling and most decorated artists in pop music history, known for his hits including “My Heart Will Go On” and “Because You Loved Me.”Artist pre-registration for the Paris shows continues through April 2, with tickets starting to become available on April 7.La Defense isna has a capacity of 40,000 spectators and was one of the stadiums used in the Olympic Games.
