Recalling the difficult time, Radha shared how stressful the situation was, especially with the scrutiny of social media and the collision of personal responsibilities simultaneously.“It was a lot to take in. With social media and being inside prison, there was a lot going on at that time. We also had a wedding in the family around the same time, and there were young children at home. I was just trying to juggle everything, manage things, and keep everyone together,” she told Curly Tales.She added that her immediate priority was to ensure stability at home while hoping for Rajpal’s release. “First of all, it was very important for him to get out.
The wedding date was so close that nothing could be changed.Speaking about her children, she said: “My eldest daughter was aware of everything through social media, so we explained things to her. But the youngest is only seven years old, so it was difficult for her to understand what was happening. My main focus was to keep everyone positive and remind them that no matter what happens, there is always a way out.”
“It hurt me for my family, not for myself.”
For his part, Rajpal Yadav admitted that the emotional impact of the incident hit him hard – especially because of the impact it had on his loved ones.“Radha had absolutely nothing to do with any of these issues. I was handling all the meetings and everything related to the case,” he said, adding: “But what happens is that trauma, regardless of the cause, mentally and physically affects the entire family. This is what hurt me the most, not for myself, but for my wife and my family.”He went on to praise Radha for her strength during the crisis. “The way Radha managed everything – be it family matters, traveling between Mumbai and the village, or dealing with our blended family background – was incredible.
I’m not just saying this as a husband, but as a woman, I respect her a hundred times more now. I don’t think I could ever repay what I did.

Marriage, education and building a life together
The couple also spoke about their early marriage and how Radha continued her education after tying the knot. “I got married very young, when I was 18. I told him I wanted to complete my degree. I wanted to study interior design,” Radha said, adding that they spent two years focusing on her studies, including time in London and at the American Intercontinental University in Dubai.
“It is the glue that holds the family together.”
Despite the difficulties, Radha described Rajpal as the pillar of her family, a person who ensures unity regardless of the situation.“He’s very strong…in the whole family, I think he’s the glue that holds everyone together,” she said.“He made a promise to his mother years ago that he would keep everyone together, and he sticks to it. Even if he has to bend a little or convince others, he makes sure everything becomes normal.”She also added that Rajpal’s daughter from his first marriage has settled in Lucknow and has two children.
