Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M K Stalin on Monday filed his nomination from Kolathur Assembly constituency in Chennai for the April 13 elections.

After submitting his papers, Stalin expressed complete confidence that the people would give him a stunning fourth consecutive victory in the Kolator category.
Stalin successfully contested from Kolattur constituency in the 2011, 2016 and 2021 Assembly elections.
Shortly after submitting his papers, Stalin briefly conducted a promotion, waving to the people and asking for support. The DMK president also released a book on his achievements for Kolattur constituency.
The DMK chief, accompanied by senior party leaders, including HRD Minister BK Sekhar Babu, arrived at the designated election office here and submitted his papers on the first day of filing nominations for the April 23 assembly elections in the state.

The DMK has announced its candidates for 164 constituencies. Stalin on Sunday unveiled his party’s election manifesto outlining the development path and goals.
While the opposition AIADMK has nominated Chennai Corporation Councilor P Santhanakrishnan to contest against the Chief Minister, the actor and politician led Vijay-led TVK has fielded VS Babu to take on Stalin in a three-way contest.
Stalin nurtured the electoral district and turned it into a model for the country. Infrastructure development, social welfare initiatives and improving school infrastructure and public facilities were among his main focus areas.

the $4.75 lakh crore ‘Mudhalvar Padaipaggam’, launched in Kolattur, is a flagship initiative that serves as a first-of-its-kind government-run co-working and co-learning center for entrepreneurs, students and competitive exam aspirants.
Along with the modern library co-working spaces in Periyar Nagar and Jawahar Nagar $Rs 4.75 Crore, Modern Market Complex on Pepper Mills Road $19.30 crore building was recently opened and has 74 malls, lifts and parking lots to support small traders in the constituency.
An IoT-based monitoring and odor control system for sewage pumping stations in Kolathur, apart from a women’s gym in Jawahar Nagar, and 840 residential tenements in Gouthamapuram, are among his many achievements.
