Rahul was in Odisha shooting for his TV show ‘Bhole Baba Paar Karega’ when the unfortunate incident happened. According to his co-star Diganta Bagchi, after completing the day’s shoot, Rahul entered the water alone but fell into something below the surface. Moments later, the crew noticed that he had drowned and rushed to help him.
He was immediately transferred to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
A West Bengal police officer informed PTI that the actor was declared dead at Digha Hospital after he was brought from the seashore in neighboring Odisha. “We have contacted our counterparts in Odisha to ascertain the sequence of events. A case of unnatural death has been registered at Digha police station as well. We are also talking to production team members and eyewitnesses,” the officer said.
