Gold price today: Gold futures decline
Gold and silver prices started Monday’s session on a weaker note on the Indian Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), as a rise in the US dollar, driven by rising tensions in the oil-rich Middle East, weighed on bullion.
Gold futures for June delivery fell 0.68%, or Rs 1,000 per 10 gram, to trade at Rs 1,46,255 per 10 gram in early deals on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India. Contracts due in April and August also decreased by about 0.6% each.
Silver futures for May delivery on the same exchange fell by about 0.5%, or Rs 1,059 per kg, to trade at Rs 2,26,895 per kg.
