Tollywood was shocked on Sunday after the sudden death of Rahul Arunoday Banerjee. The 43-year-old actor reportedly drowned on the seashore in Talsari near Digha while filming for his ongoing TV series.
According to reports, Rahul had gone into the water during the shoot when the accident happened. Unit members and technicians rushed to rescue him after he drowned and did not appear again for some time. He was immediately transferred to a hospital in Digha, but sources said that he was declared dead before arriving at the facility. Rahul reportedly remained underwater for several minutes before technicians realized he was missing and searched for him. An autopsy is expected to be conducted at Digha Hospital.
