A woman in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh was surprised when she received a text message from her bank while working in the fields on Ashtami day during Navratri. Her bank account showed numbers that were not normal. Sita, a farmer who runs a small grocery store in Devganj village in Bechwan district, went with her son to the bank to find out more.

The bank was closed because it was a holiday. She then went to check her Bank of India account balance at a nearby ATM where she received the biggest shock of her life. The balance number in her account was close to $10 crore rupees, $9,99,49,588 to be exact.

Both mother and son were happy about this sudden transfer of money into the account and shot a video that has since gone viral. But the woman is still not sure how to transfer this large amount to her account?

As a result, I opposed the idea of withdrawing funds from the account until there was greater clarity about the source of the funds. She did not take a penny and returned to the field and resumed work.

The woman also told her family that no money should be withdrawn from the account until the matter is investigated, Hindustan reported.

According to another report, Sita received praise from her neighbors and family members for not touching the money despite transferring such a huge amount into her account.

In an interview with Bharat Samchar, the woman said she did just that $45,000 in her bank account and she will come to the bank the next day to ask them to get the money back as it does not belong to her.

So, where did the money come from?

In another report, Hindustan newspaper quoted Bank of India Sultanganj branch manager, Pushpendra Singh, as saying that when the woman’s account was checked, the claimed balance was not found. He added that the balance shown was due to the seizure on the loan account. He added that no money was deposited into the woman’s account.
