Director Priyadarshan brought smiles to everyone’s faces when he mentioned that Saif Ali Khan’s participation in his new film ‘Haiwaan’ stems from mere availability. He affectionately called Saif a “delightfully inquisitive adult child” and revealed that the actor comes with an endless number of questions. Read on to know more in detail.
Priyadarshan is currently gearing up for the release of his next film Bhooth Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar in the lead. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas in April this year. Apart from this, he also has the film ‘Haiwaan’, which features Akshay and Saif Ali Khan in the lead role. Recently, the director spoke about working with Khan after 16 long years.

Speaking about collaborating with Saif Ali Khan, Priyadarshan told Mid-Day: “The producers told me that Saif was available. When we approached him, he was excited, and so on.” [he came onboard]”.Talking about the actor, the director added: “Every morning, he comes with ten questions. Once that doubt is removed, he forgets the other nine questions and says: OK, I’m ready.” He’s like so cute [but] “Mature child.”

Talking about collaborating with Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan said, “I am doing two films with him.
For me, there is no difference then [Khatta Meetha, 2010] And now.”The director added: “He believes in me. Hence, I feel a great responsibility to help him. With me, he doesn’t ask a lot of questions. He just says: What do you want me to do?” “I explain to him what I expect, and he does it right away.”
