While action dramas maintain their good standing, weekday collections show a slowdown. Inspired by a tribal boy’s journey against injustice, the film received mixed reviews, with some of the characters feeling off-putting. Despite the notable global achievement, word of mouth influences its operation.

Ustad Bhagat Singh continues his theatrical career with a steady performance at the box office. The film, starring Pawan Kalyan and Raashi Khanna, crossed Rs 91 crore worldwide by the 10th day.

Trend and decline during weekdays

It fell further to Rs 1.00 crore on the 8th (Thursday). On day 9 (Friday), the film saw a slight jump with Rs 1.10 crore. The first week gross was Rs 65.95 crore. After that, the numbers indicate a routine decline and occupancy remains in the range of 18-22%.

Story and main theme

‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ traces the journey of a tribal boy inspired by his mentor. When Bhagat Singh grows up, the boy becomes a man of strong principles.

He stands strongly against injustice. The film features Pawan Kalyan in the lead role and alongside him, Sreleela and Raashi Khanna play lead roles. R. Parthiban is also part of the supporting cast.ETimes’ review of the film says: “Sreeleela brings energy to her parts, adding liveliness to the screen, while Raashii Khanna brings a calmer presence. However, both characters feel underwritten, limiting the impact they could have had on the story.”

The supporting cast, including experienced actors, doesn’t get much range either, with most roles acting as extensions of the central narrative rather than fully developed characters.

Our review adds: “The film offers levels of familiarity to audiences, but as a complete film, it feels stuck in an old mold that doesn’t quite hold up today.”

Comprehensive governance

The film has done well so far. Crossing Rs 91 crore mark globally is a major milestone.

However, mixed word of mouth is impacting its box office run.Disclaimer: Box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
