Amy Seimetz and Starz Founder John J.C. Gear Up for SeriesFest 2026 Awards (Exclusive)

SeriesFest has revealed the winners of its non-competitive awards for its upcoming 12th edition, to include the inaugural Visionary Award for John J.C., founder and former chairman of Starz Entertainment Group, along with Covenants Actress and indie icon Amy Seimetz receives the Spotlight Performance Award.

The May 8 series of the Denver-based festival’s Soirée will also feature an Ambassador Award Bridgerton Director Gia-Rayne B. Harris and Littleton Road Productions, the creative team behind the film Masked Devil: John Wayne Gacy A true crime series that won an Impact in Television Award.

Stage and film actor Eric Bergen will host the annual SeriesFest event during the festival period, May 6-10.

“This year’s honorees represent everything we built SeriesFest to celebrate — the pioneers who are reshaping the landscape, the directors who are breaking barriers, the storytellers who refuse to look away from the truth, and the courageous actors who bring it all to life. We are deeply moved to honor John, Amy, Gia Ryan and Littleton Road Productions at Soirée this year,” Randy Kleiner and Kylie Smith, SeriesFest co-founders, said in a statement.

Sie, a pioneer of cable television in Colorado, launched Starz Entertainment in 1991 as an operator of premium movie networks, including Starz and Encore. And fellow honoree Gia Ryan P. Harris — who directed an episode of Season 4 of Bridgerton And shaded director Tom Verica in the hit Netflix series as part of the mentorship – they will participate in the Shondaland Managers: The Vision and the Story Billboard in Denver. Harris also made her television directorial debut on NBC Chicago PD She has 13 short films among her other cinematic works.

SeriesFest Soirée helps raise money to support artists and storytellers from underserved communities.
