“Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” was never intended to be a graduation song, but 30 years and over a billion Spotify streams later, it’s safe to say that Green Day’s 1997 hit is the Graduation anthem. Cut to March 26, 2026 — just in time for graduation season — fashion retailer Hollister and singer-songwriter Gigi Perez have released the first official cover of “Good Riddance.”
To support the cover, Hollister simultaneously dropped a limited-edition collection of apparel and accessories, also titled “The Time of Your Life.” The product collection, which includes shoes, jewelry, denim and other apparel, includes customizable accessories as well as “Class,” “2026” and “Big” details on select pieces.
“There were so many parts of this project that made this opportunity seem perfect,” Perez says of the partnership. “I feel deeply nostalgic, thinking about my senior year, the impact Green Day had on me, and my connection to Hollister made reimagining a song so important to me a truly special experience.”

The “Sailor Song” singer’s reimagined “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” becomes available across digital, social and video streaming platforms on March 26. In addition to the cover, Perez partnered with Hollister and director Natalie Simmons on an official music video that includes a live recording of her performance and follows a group of high school students before graduation.
“Senior Year is in that in-between space — between who you were and who you are becoming — and the best way to capture that was by featuring members of our Hollister community in the film,” says Joanna Ewing, senior vice president of creative at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. “The project allows us to build on a timeless trajectory, and we do that by telling emotional and authentic stories that ring true to Hollister today.”
