He said he would like to reimagine ‘Saaransh’ as an action film. “I want to do Saaransh 2 as an action actor. I spoke to Mahesh Bhatt a month ago. Bhatt saab told him, ‘I really want to do action as I am working on myself,'” Bhatt told him.
I’m putting my body in danger of being laughed at. I feel very happy about it. I want my character to save people through work.
Like in Taken, I want to do something like that,” he said in an interview with Pinkvilla.

This is the result of inflation,” Anupam says. It is the result of inflation.
It has gone from Rs 250 to Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 and now it is Rs 25,000. I gave him an envelope last week. Now he just holds the envelope and knows how much is inside. But I really like it. It’s more of a ritual than anything else.

What is your favorite Anupam Kher film early in his career?
The actor had earlier spoken about a dramatic moment during the shooting of Saaransh, when Bhatt briefly replaced him with Sanjeev Kumar. In an interview with ANI, Anupam revealed that he spent months preparing for the role before learning, just days before filming, that he would be eliminated.
He decided to leave Mumbai, but not before confronting Bhatt.“I took the taxi to his house, and went up the stairs. He complimented me on receiving the news sportily, but I asked him to look out his window and see the car that was parked there. It contained all my belongings, and I told him that before leaving, I wanted to tell him what a fraud he was… I wanted to make a final, decisive statement, and told him that, as a Brahmin man, I was cursing him,” he recalls. With Kher’s passion and determination, Bhatt eventually changed his decision and took him into his film.
