Weekend promotion
The film witnessed strong growth during its first weekend. On the third day, which was Saturday, Rs 7.15 crore was collected with an impressive occupancy of 74%. Day 4, Sunday, remained steady at Rs 7.10 lakh crore and similar occupancy levels.
Weekday decline after a strong start
Post the weekend, ‘Aadu 3’ saw a noticeable drop in collections. On the fifth day (Monday), the film has collected Rs 3.30 crore. Collections on day 6 (Tuesday) fell to Rs 2.45 lakh crore. Occupancy levels also fell sharply during the week.
Big budget and unique concept
Aadu 3, directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, is unique because unlike the previous installments, this one introduces a time travel element and has been produced as a high-budget production.
Vijay Babu talks about budget and risks of release
Producer Vijay Babu spoke about the film’s financial status at a post-release event.
He revealed that the budget was closely aligned with its opening weekend performance.Vijay Babu stated that nearly 70 percent of the total budget was recovered during the first weekend gross. Talking about the initial response, he highlighted the importance of early collections and pointed out that the film earned a total collection of over Rs 2 crore during that period.Vijay Babu also credited the audience for the regular screening of the film.
As quoted by On Manorama, he acknowledged the risks involved in releasing the film under uncertain circumstances, “What really gave me confidence was Venu’s confidence in the project. He understood the situation in the UAE during the US-Israeli-Iran conflict and assured me that the government would stand by its people. This reassurance played a major role in our decision to release the film.”
