However, a fuller picture has emerged over the past 24 hours as additional clips have emerged, including footage from Ritchson’s body camera, which showed Taylor rushing into the street to confront Ritchson and attack him first.
Taylor told TMZ on Monday that the situation developed over two days, starting on Saturday when he claimed to have seen Ritchson speeding through the neighborhood on a motorcycle and causing a disturbance. Taylor then claimed to have seen Ritchson on his motorcycle again, this time on Sunday and was joined by two people also riding motorcycles, a couple who happened to be the actor’s young sons.
Taylor confronted Ritchson in the street at which point the situation turned physical with Taylor confessing TMZ Live That he was the one who instigated the physical contact by pushing Ritchson and pushing him off his Kawasaki. The outlet also reported that Taylor “dared Alan to hit him” while Ritchson was still on the ground, though the actor tried to leave the scene until Taylor pushed him.
“On Sunday, when I was cleaning my bike outside my house, he passed by me once and twice, and the second time, I got out in front of him, and said to him: ‘You have to stop. Someone’s going to get hurt,” Taylor claimed in his interview. “And then things escalated very quickly from there. “I pushed him because he was coming toward me on his bike.” Video footage showed that Taylor rushed into the street to block Ritcheson’s motorcycle. He then also said he “pushed him again,” at which point Ritcheson defended himself, according to police.
