Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, continued his attacks on the Central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that even the Prime Minister cannot fix the mess created by the war as he only listens to the US and Israel to manage the situation here in India.

On the other hand, during his Rajya Sabha speech on March 24, Modi said India needs to be prepared for the long-term impact caused by the war, despite efforts to ensure smooth energy supply and inflation under control despite the West Asian crisis.

“The impact of this war may be long-lasting, but I assure the people that the government is alert and the interests of the nation remain paramount,” Modi said.

In his interaction with farmers, the Prime Minister said that the government has made necessary preparations to ensure adequate supplies of fertilizers and stands firmly with them to face any challenges.

But Rahul Gandhi criticized the Prime Minister’s handling of the crisis, saying the situation could not be rectified due to what he called a “structural error” and claimed that the government was following the example of the United States.

Why will Rahul skip the all parties meeting

Amid pressure from the opposition, the Center called an all-party meeting on Wednesday to discuss the situation in West Asia arising from the Iran-US conflict. HT has learnt that the meeting is scheduled to be held at 5 pm at the Parliament Complex. But Rahul is unlikely to attend the meeting, which requires two representatives from each party.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to chair the meeting, while Congress president and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge is also likely to attend, according to reports.

Rahul said that he will not be able to attend due to his previous association in Kerala.

“I will not be able to attend because I have a program in Kerala. The meeting should be held for all parties, but there has been a structural error, and this cannot be fixed, especially since the Prime Minister cannot. He will do whatever America says and will not act in the interest of the farmers and the country,” Gandhi said, as quoted by PTI.

During his speech, Modi also stressed that in such difficult times, a unified message must come out of the Indian Parliament, emphasizing that peace and dialogue are the only way to resolve the conflict.
