Israel has claimed that Iran attempted to bomb a school in Israel as tensions between the two countries continue to rise.The video was shared on X by the Israeli War Room. Security camera footage showed cluster bombs falling from an Iranian missile inside a school building in central Israel.Officials said the building was empty at the time of the incident.
This development comes days after a deadly attack on a school in Minab, southern Iran, which Iranian authorities say killed at least 165 people, including students.

Reports in American media stated that the damage occurred during the first day of the military operation that targeted nearby facilities linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.According to the New York Times, the school building was bombed during strikes carried out near a naval base located near the Strait of Hormuz, an area where the Iranian Revolutionary Guard operates major military facilities.
However, neither the United States nor Israel officially confirmed responsibility for the attack.Officials from the Pentagon and the US State Department said they were reviewing reports of civilian harm and reiterated that US forces were not intentionally targeting civilian infrastructure.Tensions between Iran and joint US-Israeli forces continued to rise after the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in an airstrike earlier in the conflict.
