Speaking at separate rallies while launching development works in Kokrajhar and Guwahati, Prime Minister Modi accused the Congress of spreading rumors and misinformation about the ongoing global crisis caused by the war in West Asia.
“Congress’ hand has always been with the infiltrators and even today. For decades, Congress has not even given legal land documents to the indigenous people here,” he said while addressing a public meeting in Kokrajhar via video conference. “I have come to urge you to impose toughest sanctions on the Congress party in the upcoming elections; and give a clear message that there is now no place for infiltrators in the country. The message from Assam will become the voice of the entire country.”

Alleging that the Congress party had handed over a lot of tribal-owned land to encroachers, the Prime Minister said, “In areas like Dhubri and Goalpara, the situation is very terrible. As a result of this, the population balance in Bodoland has been disturbed; a crisis has begun to dawn on the community. I am convinced that under the leadership of Himanta ji, a very major campaign to free land from encroachers’ ownership is underway in Assam.”
Modi said that for decades, the Bodoland region had witnessed the betrayal of the Congress party. “The Congress has kept many generations of Bodoland ensnared in pipe dreams. The Congress governments in Delhi have made paper agreements just for show,” he added.

Modi said that while the Congress party used to create divisions among different communities due to its selfish policies, the BJP worked for lasting peace. “Congress used to create divisions between different communities due to its selfish policies, and BJP worked for lasting peace,” he added. “Congress is a shop of false promises. With one false promise, it gives four big lies as gifts. Because Congress has not even the intention of fulfilling these promises. On the other hand, the BJP-NDA model is right there before you,” the Prime Minister said.
Prime Minister Modi also continued his tirade against the opposition party for allegedly spreading misinformation about the crisis caused by the conflict in West Asia. “Today, even in the midst of crises created by the war, Congress is only engaged in spreading rumours and misinformation,” Modi said in Guwahati.
He urged the Congress members to reconsider former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s speech, noting that Nehru had observed that wars in South and North Korea were contributing to inflation in India. “Now, where are North Korea and South Korea and where is the rise in inflation? Today, members of Congress are engaged in misleading the country,” the Prime Minister added.
Prime Minister Modi on Friday began his two-day visit to the state heading to the polls. On Friday, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth more than 100%. $24,000 crore in Guwahati and Kokrajhar.
In Guwahati, the Prime Minister released the 22nd batch of PM-KISAN scheme to over 93 million farmers across the country. “When we started this scheme, Congress used to say that the amounts given to farmers should be returned after elections. But now this scheme has become a means of social security for millions of farmers,” he said.
On Saturday, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for projects worth approx $23,550 crore in Silchar before departing for Kolkata.
