Kate Hudson and Jimmy Kimmel expressed their gratitude for the publicity side of entertainment as they received special awards at the 2026 ICG Publicists Awards held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday afternoon.
“Filmmaking is an extraordinary process; it doesn’t end when we wrap the film,” he said. Song Song Blue Academy Award nominee Hudson accepts this year’s Best Actress award. “We’re also charged with bringing that magic to the masses, and publicity is a big part of that. I’m the presenter and you’re the vessel.”
Kimmel, who received the President’s Award, a rare honor bestowed only in exceptional circumstances, thanked the union for this recognition in light of his suspension last September after statements about Donald Trump and the killing of Charlie Kirk.
“The reason I’m here is to thank you for 23 years of partnership and support,” Kimmel stated. “I would like to dedicate this to those of you who work hard to shine the spotlight on everyone but yourselves.”
The late-night talk show host also personally thanked his longtime publicist Louis Kaye, with whom he has worked since 1998, before joking, “I’ve never given him any trouble.”
Noah Wyle was named TV Show of the Year, highlighting his work as an actor and producer in the house.
“I’m very proud to be presenting a TV show with John [Wells] “I Return to This City That I Love,” Wyle said in his remarks, “is a 15-episode show that employs hundreds and hundreds of craftsmen and artists, showcasing their talents to the world. “This city has survived great changes before, and in fact that is what brought these guilds and guilds into existence, the belief in the power of collectivity, the power of our solidarity and the primacy of our creativity.”
the house He also received the Maxwell Weinberg Award for Television Advertising, the organization’s highest television award. On the cinematic side, the Maxwell Weinberg Award went to the Motion Picture Publicity Campaign Sinners.
Other distinguished honors went to Cynthia Swartz, who received the Bob Yeager Award for Community Service, and Pamela Gollum, who received the Henry Bollinger Special Merit Award.
