'Avengers: Doomsday' star Lewis Pullman confirms 25 superhero appearances won't be a 'special show'

“Avengers: Doomsday” may feature a huge roster of superheroes, but the Russo Brothers are making sure the upcoming Marvel Studios film will ensure every character gets meaningful screen time.

Actor Lewis Pullman, who made his MCU debut last year with the release of The Thunderbolts, has teased a multiple star appearance in the film. The actor, who plays Sentry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, revealed the massive Phase 6 set.

In an interview with Esquire, Pullman addressed the hype and fan anxiety over the film’s massive cast, which reportedly includes 25 superheroes. Speaking about the upcoming film, he said: “It goes back to the foundation of human models on which our art was built.”

He continued to insist, “Every character has their own moment that builds their dimension. The Russo brothers did that well. They didn’t want anyone sitting in the background.”

Lewis Pullman teases the unexpected pairing

The actor also teased that fans can expect to see some unexpected pairings in the film. He said the directors “took very seriously the responsibility of having some of the best actors in the world together. There are a lot of really interesting pairings going on.”

Pullman added: “A lot of fans are going to be really excited. It’s a lot of fun to dream about. What if A and B were going to work together? Would B and D work together? You’re going to see a lot of those fantasies come true.”

The film, directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, will see the duo take over the reins after delivering back-to-back successful films with “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”

The movie “Avengers: Doomsday” and its actual release date

While “Avengers: Doomsday” has been filming for some time now, the team is expected to reunite for additional reshoots. The film, which will reportedly bring back Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston, will also feature heroes from the X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Shang Chi, Black Panther and more, as they all reportedly team up to take on Robert Downey Jr, who is ditching the Iron Man suit to play iconic villain Doctor Doom. While some cast members have been confirmed to appear in the film, there has been no official information about “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which will mark the end of Marvel’s Phase 6. “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18.
