Watch: The Israeli army shares the “perspective” of an Air Force pilot as he flew to bomb Tehran

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) posted a short cockpit video on social media showing a fighter pilot flying towards Tehran, as the ongoing conflict between the US, Israel and Iran enters its second week.

The 33-second clip, which the IDF posted on X, carries the caption: “POV: You are an IDF OTW pilot in Tehran.”

The footage shows several fighter planes flying in formation above the clouds and mountainous terrain as they move towards their destination.

Iran claims its anti-ship missile struck a US aircraft carrier; US Central Command calls them “false claims”

The video was also shared by The Times of Israel, which published a translated version of what the pilot appears to be saying in the recording.According to the translation, the pilot says: “We, the pilots and navigators of the Israeli Air Force, are currently flying in formation over the skies of Tehran, on our way to strike historic targets.”

The message also addresses people in Israel: “We continue to fight, as required around the clock, and we feel your support all the time. We wish you, fellow citizens of Israel, a safe and peaceful Saturday.”The pilot’s face appears blurred in the footage, likely to prevent identification. The video appeared as residents across Iran reported hearing large explosions in Tehran and other areas on Saturday morning, according to Al Jazeera, amid continuing Israeli and American military operations.

Earlier this week, the Israeli military released another video showing what it described as an air-to-air engagement over Tehran. This 16-second clip showed an Israeli F-35 Lightning II fighter jet shooting down an Iranian Air Force Yakovlev Yak-130. The Israeli military said the incident marked the first air-to-air kill of a manned aircraft during the conflict. The broader conflict continued to escalate. The administration of US President Donald Trump approved a deal to sell weapons to Israel worth $151 million after saying that Washington would not negotiate with Iran unless it agreed to what he described as “unconditional surrender.”At the same time, the Gulf states announced the interception of more Iranian missiles and drones. Saudi Arabia said it stopped four drones targeting the Shaybah oil field, in the second attempt to strike the facility within hours.Israeli warplanes continued their strikes on targets in Beirut and Tehran. At least 1,230 people have been killed in Iran, more than 200 in Lebanon, and about a dozen in Israel since the fighting escalated, officials reported.
