US-Iran war: Pentagon identifies all six US soldiers killed in drone airstrike in Kuwait

The Pentagon released the last two names of the six U.S. service members killed in Sunday’s drone attack in Kuwait on Wednesday, identifying them as Chief Petty Officer 3 Robert Marzan, 54, of Sacramento, Calif., and Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien, 45, of Indianola, Iowa.

According to the Ministry of Defence, Marzan was present at the command center at Shuaiba Port when the strike occurred and is believed to have died at the scene, pending final confirmation by the coroner. Major O’Brien, a signal officer and information systems engineer, has had a two-decade career in cybersecurity.

The other four soldiers, who were previously identified on Tuesday, are:

Sgt. Declan Cody, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa (posthumously promoted from Specialist)

Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota

Capt. Cody Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida

Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska

All six victims were members of the 103rd Sustainment Command, an Army Reserve unit that provides vital logistics and supplies.

The deadly strike occurred just one day after the United States and Israel launched “Operation Epic Fury” against Iran, which led to retaliatory drone and missile attacks across the Gulf.
