“I can’t lie, it’s been stressful days. We’re nervous and it’s scary. Lots of fighter planes flying overhead, lots of loud explosions.
Even though we live in a villa in a very safe neighborhood, the windows are shaking, the house and doors are shaking, and it’s unnerving. “But I never felt unsafe, not once,” she said in a video message.
“We feel protected,” Lara says, praising the UAE government
Tensions escalated after the United States and Israel launched a coordinated attack against Iran on February 28, with Tehran responding by launching drones and missiles towards Israel and US military bases in the Gulf region and Dubai.
Despite the situation, Lara praised the Emirati authorities, describing their efforts as “amazing.” She said residents, regardless of their nationality, were being “cared for” and “protected.”She added: “We feel that we are important, that we are important. The UAE government, as someone who lives in this city, is making sure that they are doing everything they can to protect us and keep us safe.”The actress also expressed her admiration for essential workers – from her gardeners to delivery drivers – saying she has great respect for the everyday heroes who keep the country going despite the uncertainty.

Lara revealed that she and her family were looking into flight options to India, but it was difficult to secure tickets.“We are trying to get back to Mumbai, because children are much more stressed. And so are we, even as adults. We are trying to get out,” she said emotionally.She added, “I was in India when the war broke out between India and Pakistan, and we saw how successful our country was in protecting us at that time. The same thing is here.”
No civilian deserves to live in fear or be trapped in a war that destabilizes the entire region.She concluded by expressing her hope that “common sense and better judgment will prevail.”
