You don’t have to be “crazy” to kill someone.

But while the mentally ill are more likely to be victims of violent crimes than to commit them, some killers are more likely to be victims of violent crimes than to commit them. It seems As if they had something going on.

The liquor is paid for using blood-stained bills and then… Gouge out your eyes Is it enough to avoid prosecution?

When there was a breakthrough in the case, it did not appear to be the result of superior investigation.

A liquor store employee called authorities after an injured man verbatim The blood on his hands paid for the purchases in cash which were also covered in blood.

Police responded to the report and arrested 32-year-old Robert Brandon Keller.

He is charged with murder, armed robbery, carjacking, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm or knife in the commission of a felony.

The crime Keller was accused of was truly unimaginable: ending a life for so little. But a new and gruesome development was soon to come.

This is where the story takes another horrific turn

According to court documents, Keller took an egregious action while in custody that most people would find unthinkable.

He allegedly gouged out both his eyes and bit off part of his tongue.

Naturally, the court ordered psychological examinations to determine whether he was competent to stand trial after this apparently disordered behavior.

Competency to stand trial has very specific criteria. It goes beyond someone doing something clearly irrational – like paying for alcohol on blood-stained bills, or mutilating yourself.

Shockingly, two psychologists determined that Keller was competent to stand trial.

Dr. Jeremy Guy determined that Keller “was not suffering from a compulsive delusion at the time of the crime or an inability to distinguish between right and wrong at the time of the crime.”

Dr. Daniel Vass testified that Keller’s mental capacity and ability to represent his interests in court “were much better than a lot of people” he evaluated.

Other evidence may be a deciding factor for the court.

A jailer testified at a hearing in February that Keller “was not mentally ill, and that he said he heard noises to cover his butt.”

A trial date has not yet been set. All things considered, Keller may have a long time in the dark to contemplate his situation.
