'Very disturbing': Laura Loomer says she feels 'unsafe' seeing Muslim workers at US airport amid Iran war

Far-right activist Laura Loomer said on Wednesday that she felt “unsafe” because there were too many Muslims assigned to US airports. In a post on X, Loomer said that when she landed in Atlanta, she saw a lot of female workers wearing the hijab and described it as “disturbing.”She said: “I returned to the US last night after being abroad for a few days. I landed in Atlanta, Georgia before my connecting flight, and 4 out of the 8 female customs agents were wearing hijab. Why do we allow Muslims to work as TSA agents and work inside US airports? It is very disturbing to me. We have a lot of Muslims in America. It makes me feel very unsafe.”

This statement came at a time when the United States and Israel are fighting against Iran.

The attack on the Muslim-majority country has raised fear among the public that hatred toward the Muslim community will grow in the United States. Amid increasing freedoms in the United States, an Iranian refugee in Los Angeles said that Islam is incompatible with Western civilization. One refugee said: “We are very happy here. We are 47 years old, Iranians. We have never been in history. We have never been Muslims. We are not Muslims and never will be. This is the biggest threat every country can face. And I want to say we are very happy. We are expelling the mullahs and we will restore our property and our dignity.”
