Marjorie Taylor Greene has been stepping away from the MAGAsphere in recent months.
Now she’s dropping a bombshell that’s sure to anger Trump supporters even more.
In response to a tweet claiming that J.D. Vance was the true architect of the latest strike on Iran, Greene claimed that Vance is simply the Trump administration’s favorite scapegoat.

The original tweet from America First Post reads: “Vice President JD Vance reportedly successfully influenced President Trump to launch a major attack aimed at overthrowing the Iranian government rather than a smaller, limited strike aimed at spurring negotiations.”
“Oh. @JDVance did it. They hate JD. They never want him to be president,” Greene responded.
“And now that they’re doing so bad and getting our military killed for Israel, it’s JD’s fault. Not Trump’s fault. Or any of the neocons screaming in his ear 24/7. What’s the truth?”
Elsewhere in the AFP article, General Dan Keane claimed that the military “proposed both options” to Trump on February 18.

“Before Vance got involved, Trump was partial to the smaller, more limited strike,” the account wrote.
“The second option could deplete American ammunition, lead to American casualties, and spiral out of control,” Kane warned.
Not surprisingly, Greene’s post attracted a great deal of criticism from Trump supporters:
“Did you call MAGA a ‘lie’ after your big exit? Please. After Trump turns his promises into action, Vance is the loyal pilot crushing the neocons from within. True patriots stay in the fight – you’re saved. MAGA thrives without drama queens. Winning!” one commenter wrote (via Radar Online).

“Dang, Laura Loomer has been vindicated by your behavior,” another critic claimed, going on to call Greene an “absolute disappointment,” another added.
“J.D. Vance will be president. Unlike you, who will forever be a joke,” said a third.
This is not the first time that insiders have suggested that Vance has become a scapegoat for Trump administration decisions.
Throughout January, Vance defended the killings of Renee Judd and Alex Peretti before the Trump administration reversed its position of withdrawing ICE forces from Minnesota.
Was Vance assigned this mission?
We may never know. But whatever the case, he is now the poster man for some of Trump’s unpopular endeavors.
