'God of War' creator open to live-action remake: 'It's very bad in many ways'

The long-awaited “God of War” live-action series has drawn criticism from the game’s original creator, David Jaffe. He expressed his extreme disappointment with the first teasers, considering them “awful” and a poor representation of Kratos’ iconic character. Jaffe specifically pointed out issues with the character’s introduction, expression, and clothing, questioning the creative choices for the new adaptation.

The “God of War” series is one of the most popular gaming series, which is now being adapted into a live-action series. This is not the first time that a game series has been turned into a mass-produced series, such as “Resident Evil” and “The Last of Us.”

While fans are rejoicing at the news and looking forward to what the series will bring, the creators of the original game don’t seem to be happy with the first look. Here’s what happened.

The makers of “God of War” are not satisfied with the live-action remake

David Jaffe is the mastermind behind “God of War,” which has been captivating fans since its initial release in 2005. Now, after sharing the first teasers for the live event, Jaffe has posted a long video on his account explaining his take on it all. While talking about the first teasers shared on the production house’s social media account, Javi commented, “I’m sure everyone is trying hard; [but] It’s so stupid, but let’s be incredibly clear, okay? There are two things that could be true. This could be a terrible image, and it is. “It’s very bad in many ways, and we’ll talk about that in a moment.”Jaffe also criticized the show’s creators for not properly introducing the character of Kratos to the audience.

He mentioned expressions, clothing choices, and other things, and stated that none of them meshed well with Kratos’ character in the game. “If you’re going to reveal to most people a brand new character that you hope will carry your series, for the first time, and they’ve never seen this before, this is how you introduce it to them?” Jaffe also commented.

The image he’s talking about shows Kratos, played by Ryan Hurst, crouching down and watching intently as his son aims his bow at something or someone in the distance.

About the TV series “God of War”.

The series has been confirmed for at least two seasons, and is said to focus more on exploring Kratos and his son’s relationship with each other. It follows them on a long and perilous journey as they travel to spread the ashes of Faye, Kratos’ wife and the mother of his child. Jaffe was one of the original creators of the game in 2005, and stayed with it until 2007.
