'Erica's early years are suspicious': Candace Owens questions Erica Kirk's birth records in explosive new episode

Candace Owens claimed in her series that court documents associated with Lori and Kent’s divorce repeatedly listed Erika’s birthday as November 22, 1988, which contradicts the known November 20 date. This pattern cannot be dismissed as a clerical error, she said, and the suggested discrepancies in early records raise deeper questions about Erika’s childhood. Its claims remain unproven and controversial.

Since Candace Owens appeared to make new claims in the fourth installment of her YouTube show Charlie’s Bride, additional claims have been made about Erica regarding her early life.

This time it was not political, but rather paperwork. Owens said court papers related to Lori and Kent’s divorce show inconsistencies that make us think more about Erika’s childhood and who she is. What some call clerical errors may actually be something more planned, Owens says. The main point of contention is Erika’s date of birth. Owens says that for more than a decade, numerous legal documents listed the same date, Nov. 22, 1988, even though public records show her birthday as Nov. 20.

Owens didn’t see this as a simple mistake. Instead, she used this pattern as evidence of systemic problems that began when Erika was young.

In the episode, Owens revisits divorce and child support filings from the mid-1990s through the 2000s. She stressed that the initial explanation given by critics was that the incorrect birthday resulted from a simple clerical oversight. She rejected this logic, saying:

Erika trolls after emotional SOTU moment; Wild claims target Charlie Kirk’s widow

“I have no idea if it happened in the early 1980s or if it happened in 1993.

The prevailing narrative from deniers is that the initial recording, which I would remind you, had only four statements of fact, one page. It was just a clerical error when they listed Erika’s birth date as November 22 instead of November 20, which is her birth date today. Now, to be clear, there was no cleric involved.

Owens then detailed how the date of November 22, 1988 repeatedly appeared across separation agreements, co-parenting plans, modifications to child support, medical support filings, execution records, and even emancipation papers years later.

She stressed that these documents were sworn legal documents reviewed by lawyers and, in some cases, were submitted without authentication. She concluded that repeated inclusion undermines the idea of chance. In her words: “The point I’m making here is everything about this marriage, everything about this divorce, everything about Erika’s early years is suspect. And the beginning is important. The beginning is deeply important.”

Owens also pointed to investigative journalist Elizabeth Lane’s theory of behavioral patterns and childhood development, adding:“Psychopaths are not born. They are created. They are created and are usually created in their youth.”Her claims remain controversial and unproven. However, it has sparked debate about transparency, documentation and the importance of early records in influencing residents’ perceptions.
