Composer Anirudh Ravichander firmly stated that he had no aspirations to become a film hero, and devoted his entire focus to music, his true passion. He aims to continue composing for at least another two decades, with dreams of a mega collaboration between Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan. Anirudh is currently immersed in several upcoming big projects.
Popular composer and singer Anirudh Ravichander has made it clear that he has no plans to become a hero in films. Over the years, many directors tried to convince him to act. However, nothing moved forward and now Anirudh has firmly stated that acting is not his calling. In a recent interview, he explicitly said that he wants to focus solely on music.
According to him, music is his true passion, and he does not want to change his path.
Anirudh Ravichander prioritizes music
Speaking to Provoc TV, Anirudh mentioned that he told director Lokesh Kanagaraj that acting is not for him. He said fans have given him a strong status over the past 15 years because of his music. The love he receives from fans all over India is mainly due to his songs and wallpapers. He feels deeply grateful for this support. Anirudh added that these 15 years seem like just the beginning, and he wants to continue working in music for at least two more decades.
Anirudh aims to achieve more as a composer
Anirudh explained that he still has many goals in music. He said that 15 years is not enough for him, and that he wants another long and successful phase in his career. He noted that he may appear in music videos, promotional content and brand endorsements, but not as a film actor. He clearly stated that he couldn’t imagine going into a movie and acting as the hero. He finds joy in writing songs and creating albums.

For the final tune of “Aaja Raja”, he opted for a retro vibe instead of the usual high-energy track. He felt the vintage style matched the promotional photos, especially the elegant garage entrance. Anirudh admitted that he was a bit nervous ahead of its release, as fans might expect a typical mass number. But he wanted to make something cool and new, and he’s glad people liked it.

Anirudh is busy with big projects
Anirudh is currently working on a number of big projects. His upcoming credits include ‘Jailer 2’, ‘The Paradise’, ‘Love Insurance Company’ and ‘Jana Nayagan’, all of which are scheduled to release soon. With concerts happening everywhere and a slew of major albums on the horizon, Anirudh is one of the most active composers at the moment.
