“It is one of the most painful surgeries you can have.”
Ahan shared that the surgery resulted from a snowmobile accident a few years ago that resulted in a partial dislocation of the shoulder. The injury hampered his ability to train properly, especially when he needed peak fitness for an action movie.“I actually had a complete surgery after the release of Saiyaara last year.
“It’s one of the most painful surgeries you can have, and it takes the longest recovery period,” he said.
“My body will go back to zero”
The actor revealed that doctors warned him of the physical harm that might result from this procedure.“He told me my body would be back to zero,” Ahan said, explaining that he would have to rebuild everything from scratch — muscle, strength, mobility — at a time when he needed to look ready to work.Speaking about the challenge, he added: “I was feeling motivated by the actors who performed dramatic transformations in the gym.
But it was usually from a certain unhealthy body type to a healthy body type. This was different. I went from being injured, to not being able to move, to not being able to lift, to being able to lift.

Most famous in the cast – and fans had no idea
Ahan also revealed that he spent months in a cast during his recovery, but managed to stay away from public attention.“I don’t know how no one realized!” He said.However, a few fans sensed something was wrong and reached out to his mother, Diane Panday, asking why he lost weight.“Since I don’t go online much, they started asking her because she’s into fitness etc. They were wondering, why is he losing so much weight,” he shared.
