ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chuna Min on Monday said the state government’s pre-budget consultations with community-based organizations are aimed at ensuring that public suggestions directly shape planning and investment decisions, stressing that governance must be “responsive” and result-oriented.

“I chaired a pre-budget consultation meeting with our community organizations. This is not a routine exercise, but a sincere effort to listen, evaluate best practices, review gaps, and ensure that public suggestions are reflected in our planning and investment decisions,” Min said in a post on X, after the meeting.

“Over the past decade, our state has seen significant progress, but we must continue to streamline departments, improve performance indicators, and ensure results show up on the ground,” Min added.
The meeting also discussed long-term initiatives that aim to benefit from the country’s cultural wealth to achieve economic growth.
“We also discussed forward-looking initiatives, including developing heritage and cultural tourism models to preserve our rich traditions while creating economic opportunities,” Min said.
Expressing his gratitude to the participating organizations, Min said their input will play a crucial role in shaping the state’s future roadmap.
