A Bhubaneswar to Dubai flight on IndiGo was canceled on Monday due to escalating tension in West Asia, an airport official said.

Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) Director Prasanna Pradhan said the airline had canceled Monday’s IndiGo flight to Dubai and passengers were informed in advance.

IndiGo operates its Bhubaneswar to Dubai flight three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. About 120 passengers were booked for Monday’s flight.

“Although Friday’s flight was normal, on Sunday the airline announced the cancellation of Monday’s flight to Dubai. No decision has been taken yet regarding Wednesday’s Dubai flight,” Pradhan said.
