Shia LaBeouf’s public meltdown continued this weekend, as the troubled actor was arrested for the second time in as many weeks.

LaBeouf was first arrested on February 16 after a fight outside a bar in New Orleans.

On Saturday, LaBeouf was taken into custody for the second time, again on battery charges

Police say LaBeouf was arrested after he punched several people and shouted gay slurs in another public altercation.

“These bastards put me in prison,” LaBeouf said, according to the report. “I’m Catholic.”

News of the arrest came on the same day YouTube Channel 5 posted an interview with LaBeouf in which he offered bizarre explanations for his actions.

“I’ll be honest with you, older gay people are scary to me. When I’m standing alone and there are three gay men next to me touching my leg, I’m scared. I’m sorry. If that’s homophobic, then so am I,” he said.

LaBeouf continued to use religion to justify homophobia:

“I’m steeped in the Bible. I know what the Bible says about homosexuality. No,” he said. “I am completely in love with Jesus.”

Hence, LaBeouf at least accepted responsibility for his actions and revealed that he is no longer sober.

“My behaviour [is] prattle. I have to deal with that. Does this mean I have to go to rehab again? “I’m not into it, brother,” he said.

He continued: “I don’t think my answers are there. I don’t think so. I really don’t. If I really did, I would go. I don’t think I have a different problem,” adding:

“I ended my sobriety 9 months ago, so I’ve been looking, on and off, for care — I was sober for probably two years, and then Kava. I’ve heard people talk about California sobriety — Joe Rogan, you’re just inundated with a bunch of information.

LaBeouf went on to state that he does not want to enter rehab, as he blames his anger issues on a “different problem.”

“I think I have a little man complex,” he said, adding:

“I’ll get to it…I think it’s something that has more to do with anger and ego than drinking, but that’s where I am right now in my journey, and I’m trying to get over it. I’ll figure it out.”

Let’s hope he does it before anyone else gets hurt.
