Highlights include feminist writer and activist Urvashi Butalia exploring the history of feminism and writing in India. The amazing author of Lords of the Deccan and public historian Aniruddh Kanisetti presents “cold facts for hot topics” while dissecting the difficult terrain of presenting factual history in a post-truth world.

Oshi’s Vocal Academy and Studio Loco presents a pop-up choir that invites the city’s diverse voices, young and old, to perform at Scarborough’s fantastic showcase. Participants learn how to build a melody, harmonize with strangers, learn their range, and break down into parts on the go. Come alone or with a parent/partner/friend, just bring your enthusiasm and a bottle of water!

Al-Faaz Ki Mehfil: A Lecture on Rocks (Poetry and Prose)

If you find yourself captivated by the authentic poetry of the Urdu language, attend this edition of Lecture on Rocks. It aims to take participants on an enjoyable journey to explore the history of the languages that evolved into Urdu, including words that crossed multiple regions, languages, and dialects. Alfaaz is a collection of spoken and written Urdu word, introduced by Satya Prabhakar, author of Alfaaz Ki Mehvel. A copy of the book and drinks are included in the ticket price.
